I paid 4.29 for 93 octane last night :/ but it lasts longer than 87 for me thanks to my tune!

The average gas price in Washington is getting to $4. My area is around $3.90. I remember a couple months ago, it got way up to $4.19, and in a matter of at least a week, dropped down to $3.49. That was for a good couple weeks, before it started coming back up. My dad put about 7 1/2 gallons in my Aveo the other day. Over $30. I shudder to think how much he spends on gas for his Camaro and Grand Prix (especially when he's actually working). Then again, those 2 cars get pretty good mileage for V8s (about 23-24 mpg in good conditions and going 10 over the speed limit).

Another bonus, our cars become more valuable when gas prices increase.
Yesterday I arrived at the gas station to see a disgruntled woman filling up her Yukon Denali (8 passenger vehicle with 1 passenger in it). I began to fill up my car at the adjacent pump and finished before her. She switched hands on the handle due to cramping and carpal tunnel setting in and gave me one of those "your car does not seem so ****ty now" looks.

KBB value of my car $3,500.00; filling up for one third the price of a trophy wife in a giant SUV, Priceless.
