health care up here sucks, you have to wait 5 hours in a emargency room just to see a registed nurse. the reason for that movie was to focus on the bad sides of us health care, and on the good sides of canadian, and french systems. taxes are outrages up here also, 14% on every thong you buy, car insurance for an aveo was 300$ for one way cavrage for a 35 year one female with a perfic record. taxes for a house are even worse, lets just say for the amount you have to pay for a house that alrady yours (no morgege) every month you can rant a 3 bedroom apartment.
i have 2 more years of university, and them im moving to rochester NY for a year to finish my BA degree, and then maybe NY city or jersey.
oh and health care is not 100% free

Yeah, that can happen here too though. It kinda depends on the hospital, some hospitals have formed programs that require a doctor to see a patient within 30 minutes of their ER visit, or their visit is free/discounted.

With this you also have to consider that this writer is from ontario. In Alberta, sales tax is 6%, 5% after january 1st. Alberta health care costs me $44 month, perscriptions extra, all doctor visits and blood work covered so far. Car insurance for my wave is $91 mth im 25yrs old with 1 speeding ticket. Taxes in town are $2400 yrly for the place im renting. I;m renting my place in a town of 8000 people before the real estate boom hit alberta so i lucked out at only $660 mth. Now compared to ontario we are cheaper but we get stuck with higher goods prices because of the oil boom in our province. We really need to point the finger at quebec. As they have the cheapest prices and they have a lemon law unlike the rest of canada.
