      In need of parts.

Hit a deer...I am in need of parts for my '07 black sedan. Most important is a hood asap because I have to rebend my rad support and a hood that isnt bent back will greatly assist in the alignment process. I also need at some point a bumper cover, grille. Hopefully I can get it all patched up with you guys helping. Thanks in advance.

      Glenn

I have checked car-part.com which lists the inventories of a lot of salvage yards but I am having a hard time finding a good price to distance ratio. I have never heard of LKQ. They are saying suggested retail for a hood at about $350.00 which is a bit steep. Maybe I am just too cheap haha. Take off bumpers?

Ebay has some pretty good prices on sedan stuff, shipping included a lot of the time. ($150 shipped for an aftermarket hood, @ $100 shipped for a bumper cover).

You can look with action crash locally, i think they are still around? They were in Greentree, if not them then keystone, they both sell the same brand of aftermarket parts as ebay. Just ask for capa certified.

LKQ is its own set of yards owned by progressive insurance, yes they continue to profit off your totaled cars, by using the parts off their payouts to fix other claims. Not sure if they are on carpart.com but they are just west in ohio.

do you need the rad support replaced? or will it bend back?

A few years ago, when I replaced the rear axle in my 04, chevy wanted $300, so I called LKQ, LKQ told me $300 for a used axle, I mentioned I could get one brand new for $300, so they dropped it to $200 and delivered to me. anyone reading that doesnt know about LKQ, it stands for Like Kind Quality. LKQ is usually a good place to deal with

Hey there, I found a great site that sells chevy parts and accessories. They even offer free shipping as long as you're in the states.

Here's the link: Chevy Auto Parts

      Hope this helps!

their prices are set to 1/2 new oem typically. But are somewhat negotiable.

if you check carpart.com or one of the other yard search engines you can see list prices from yards local to you.
