Already ordering mine... If I get all four bars and the header from xiaogary I think my car will be complete, right where I want it to be. I'll stop modding for now. Or that's what I keep telling myself.

On another note, back to the actual topic now, what would be the difference between 16 mm and 19 mm rear lower bars handling-wise? Will it handle different if I go with 19 mm? also, will it handle better if I do get front sway bar from an 08?

Well, for starters a 19mm bar is twice as stiff as a 16mm bar.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I'd imagine that the 16mm bar is more of a comfortable street bar while still improving handling. The 19mm is going to be a much stiffer bar more suited to a track use.

Not getting to try both really makes it hard to differentiate which to get, so I really can't say. Is the 19mm going to make bumpy roads a pain? I don't know. Is the 16mm bar going to make enough of a difference? I don't know. Unfortunately, all you can do is get feedback from other users and see what they say about the bars they are using.

Re: UR rear strut bar install

i have an adjustable 28mm rear sway bar on mine for autocross, its tight to say the least, on the highway its drivable, but i take 100 mile trips too often to leave it on all the time, it made quick lane changes a 1/16 of a wheel turn, and you would probably spin the car if you turn the wheel 1/4 turn.. so not highway wanted.

but i will be putting it back on the summer and see if i can get a bigger bar on the front to match it up.

Yeah, but you're talking about a 28mm... that's almost 2 times thicker than the smaller one of them and almost 1.5 times thicker than 19mm.. And if according to Daox 3 mm makes that much of a difference, then I bet 9mm would make a difference too. (the diff. between 19mm and 28mm)

I don't want it to be unsafe on the highway, but I want it to make the difference. Right now NextGenTuning is stock-checking all four bars with his distributor (I'm thinking about going with 19mm for the rear lower bar) and if they have them I'll be ordering them here pretty soon. Looking foward to that. And hope they have them.

The design difference are worth it to me though. It mounts to the bolts for the shocks instead of plates going under the spring. It is also supported across the middle and not full floating. Not saying it's superior but it's easy to pit on and take off for my needs
