Re: Tire size question 185/60r14 to 195/60r14

when i bought my aveo it had the stock 185/60/14's on it and i found that it used to grab every crack in road. i switched to 195/60/14's and it made a world of difference. i know have to buy new tires before winter really gets here and i'm sticking with the 195/60/14's.

      nice looking tires

i managed to find a set of goodyear ultragrip 185/60r14 on stock aveo wheels for under 200 with 80 percent left for when it starts to snow..

just my summer tires are getting really low and its hard to find the size 185/60

Re: Tire size question 185/60r14 to 195/60r14

ill just put this in here for you guys:

      http://tires-easy.com/

and for you canadians it is:

      http://www.tires-easy.ca/

i know this isn't a topic about new tires. but 185/60r14 is the stock size on many VW's, the aveo, and like 8 other cars. So i dont know what makes them hard to find in your area, but i can believe it if you go to a everyday american tire source where nothing under a 15" wheel is in stock in under a 75 series.. but when you look for them either try searching by typing the size in online search or looking for them for a 85-98 jetta with a 14" rim.

Re: Tire size question 185/60r14 to 195/60r14

Usually 185/65R14's are easier to find and typically cheaper because they're more common. I'm running that size on my snow tires and you can't really notice the difference.

The speedo will be 3% slower. If your going 100 km/h, the speedo will say 97 km/h.
