thanks,
already got a deal for some springs pretty soon.
but no, the hoods slightly bent.
its only noticeable from certain angles.
not too bad for me to be in a rush to
buy a new one yet.
hi there, i am on craigslist, looking for rims, there are lots of 15x7 or 16x7
if the rim is 15x7, how wide the tires shall i get? if i go with 185 55 15 factory size, will the rims be looking like wider than the tires?
and what kind of offset shall i look for ?
if that owner let me test fit the wheels, if it LOOKS ok, then its fine ?
i am soooo need to get rims,,,,, but i wouldnt pay for brand new ones,,,,, and i dont know how to get proper ones,,,
please help me out, mang.
the 7" wide rims will need different scale tires, i took mine into pep boys to figure out the specific size i wanted.
if you test fit the rim and itll spin without hitting the caliper or anything, you should be good with the offset.
just look for bolt pattern 4x100,
probbly 15-17 inch rims,
from 6.5-8 inch wide.
as far as fitting onto the hub, most aftermarket will work,
as well as any other with a hub larger than the car's(56.6)
youll want hubcentric rings, which you can get pretty cheap
as long as you know the size of the hub hole(<--proper term?) on the rim.
or you could take it into any shop and theyd probbly tell you.
this is my first car, and the first set of rims ive bought, so im relatively new to this myself.
if appreciate if anyone would correct me if any of that above is inaccurate.
thats correct, but its hub center bore, not hub hole.
do i really need the center bore spacer if the center bore of the wheel is bigger than the car's center hub ?
i am looking into a set of wheels he said it was used on a vw.
i had differenct wheel on an astro, the center bore is a lil bigger than the hub it was fine ?
15x7, can i use 185 55 15 ? will the rim look wider than the tire?
if you have the vw hub rings, youll be good enough to be ok. just get 195/50r15 tires..
convert the mm to inches and if less than rim width, it will appear narrow.
