      Powdercoat in Indiana?

Does anybody know of a place that powdercoats rims for an inexpensive price?

hit the yellow book and make some fone calls. that will yield u the best results. also when u call to talk to them, know exactly what u want done, dimensions and so forth. u will get the best estimate that way.

a true powder coat gets baked on, not something alot of people can do themselves. powder coat in a can = not that great.

exactly. And it isnt something you can just pop into your house oven to bake. If you try it, I would recommend never cooking food in there again

I worked as a powdercoater for 4 years. I don't recommend powder if you are looking for a nice finish. If whatever you are powdering is smooth it will look pretty good. I wouldn't powder wheels except for winter use myself. Cast aluminum wheels will most likely end up with a wavy or bumpy finish.

You could do it at home...for a few hundred you could pickup a cheap gun and get an old kitchen oven. Once you get past the intial expense of setting up, $13 a pound for powder, a pound would do like 2 wheels.......
