      i know they won't peform like new but they still do their job rather well

      how do you know if your shocks are bad? i have my original shocks and im riding on 33k miles, ive had the car lowered since it had 5k miles

      You pull them out and they should be pretty stiff to push in and pull out. For example, one of my front struts you pull the shaft out... and it falls from it's own weight. That's a pretty good sign it's bad.

      Vegas roads don't help with all the construction and crap, Imagine randomly placed 4 inch curbs as you are driving through a construction zone and that pretty much sums it up.

      The rule of thumb is generally:

      If the car bounces more than 1.5 times after a bump, the shocks or struts need to be replaced. Shocks and struts are there to dampen the motion of the springs, so you don't make yourself sick after hitting a bump.




      Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.
