I also recommend the H&R springs. They are awesome. I Autocross my Aveo and I have my stock tires on for the winter. I like to do "The cloverleafs", do all the on and off ramps. The best I have done and on stock tires is somewhere between 80-90kph or about MPH. It sticks like glue.

      Sam,
I am thinking about trying some H&R springs on my 2005.
Would love to see a picture of yours with the 17's.

What wheels did you go with and what is the offset?
      What size tires?

My Aveo feels a little loose or tippy with the stock springs, and am hoping these springs will firm it up a bit.

Do I need a spring compressor to do the switch?

      Thanks,
      Jeff

its so dirty, so i have to clean it before i take any pictures, plus i just came across a good chunk of change so i want to paint my wheels flat black and black out the headlights, but maybe ill just snap a quick one...
mine wheels are 17x7 force sc1's (7 spoke) with 205/40/17 tires...offset is +42...handling will def be better and the car wont feel as wobbly or tipsy. and yes you do need a spring compress to switch springs

you dont happen to live in jersey do you?

I left the 14s on my car and i probably will forever....how will the H&R springs help the ride quality? Will I get better handling?

ride quality is pretty good, i am actully noticing that the ride is getting worse though. i dont think the struts are going bad, but it does seem to be riding a bit more stiff now that i have had them on for a few thousand miles. but overall very nice. going into corners is awsome, but bumpy roads suck

haha...well I am thinking about upgrading my wheels...I might get some 15s with newer tires. I am still not sure. How costly are these things again....?

apex springs are harder to find and more expensive than h&r's

I too can vouch for H&R's, awesome ride quality/control, nice drop, very sporty feel, cheaper than apex.

Where have you guys gotten the info that the apex springs are only a 1.2" drop anyways?

I'm an apex dealer and they show a 1.4" drop all around
