      changing the color of the gauge needles

      i want to make my needles gold to go alone with the new blue gauge faces. i cant find gold painted needles anywhere. could i just paint them???

      yes, but they wont glow anymore.

      you could try to not paint the back of the needle and then leave a real think line on the top centered edge (they are triangle shaped) and then you should be able to see them at night..

      i got needle paint off ebay, like 3.00

      You know, you might try painting most of the needle. Leave a half inch unpainted so it lights up. Pics when you are done!

      Or go over the needle with a felt pen. You should still be able to see it light up through it.
