      box and deck

finaly got rid of the stock deck, and wired up a dual xdm6220

its not highend and but has amp outs and AUX, and the whole system sounds so much clearer, and the JL hits real hard.

also picked up a kicker ported box

AND HOLY CRAP ITS SUCKS BALLS, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BOX it sounds worse then my seald 12" box converted to 10" with air leaking from old amp mounting holes.

Dual sucks compared to high end, but it's pretty good for the money... My $75 12" Dual box is amazing for what i paid for it...

well you've gotta think, trucks have very little air space in the cabin... your car has a ton of air space, so it's going to sound like crap...

yeh, def. depends on the application, where the box is, and what direction the subs are facing, etc...

There are alot of variables that can help or hinder the performance of an enclosure...amp, wiring, alternator, single, amp crossover point, source unit, etc.... to name a few

      Re: box and deck

that speaker box is built to fit a truck not a car so i suggest to get a band pass box with the same speaker you would get way better bass.
