2008 Sedan Speakers

Hey Guys,

I find the stock speakers a little low on the highs to I was thinking of changing just the rear deck speakers for now.

#1 - Just by eying it, they look like 6-1/2" on the rear deck, is that right?
#2 - Have some of you kept the stock deck and installed better speakers?

In the long run, I might end up changing the stock deck, but for now, it has to wait. The reason I asked these questions is my good buddy told me he has brand new 6-1/2 Infinity Reference speakers and he'll practically give them to me!

i had changed out the rear speakers in mine when i still had the stock deck and it made a huge difference, i used a set of polkaudio 6-3/4" speakers. i took off the stock grill and fit the PA grills on. The only thing is getting the speakers in or out is a pain because you have to remove the two rear side panels and the main cover after taking off the child safty hooks (the grills screw on from underneath the panel).

i changed the speakers in mine but kept the stock deck.
i have 2 subs hooked up too

Yup, 6.5 stock... and changing just the speakers is perfectly common... like nathan said, you can even add subs using an inline filter with the stock deck... just runs the signal off the rear speakers...

Well, got a new set if Infinity Reference 6.5" brand new for $50 I like buddy transactions like that!

Holy crap, I changed my rear speakers on saturday and WOW, the difference is amaizing! Now, I'm waiting for a deal for fronts! LMAO!

Dang, that rear dash is not the easiest to remove! lol

I have been looking at changing my speakers out. I have the LT which has the components in the front. I have read on Crutchfield.com that there are 4" speakers and 1" tweeters. It doesn't seem correct though. Anyone have any word on that?
Crutchfiled says 4" front speakers, 6.75" rear deck speakers.

I already have a Fosgate loaded Bazooka tube in the rear.

crutchfield is right 4 inch speakers in the front doors, theres a thread on here on how u could change them to 6 1/2 inches.
