Stock head light and fog light bulbs....

My local parts store light book has the page missing, what are the bulb numbers if you don't mind me asking. I want to replace the headlights and factory fog light bulbs with some DOT approved bulbs that "Have the look of HID."
      Thanks in advance.

yeah i just check the other day while looking for Silverstars, it's 9003. Silverstars are notorius for burning out in electrical systems not able to support them, i.e. the Aveo. My '86 Monte Carlo champed them. I do absoultly no country driving, so I won't bother with the upgrade.

the fog light bulb size is 881, they are like 27 watts. so they arent the brightest.

If your car didn't have fog lights stock, you must wire your own up. I checked with the dealer and the only wiring harness they had was the WHOLE wiring system.... supposedly.

so what i did was took an old wiring harness from an old pair of fog lights and went to the just yard to get the 881 connection clip. i then wired the 881 clip onto the fog light wiring harness, put it in the car and done.

i got a 12v switch for the on/off and drilled a hole in the dash between the steering column and the instrument dimmer switch.

Ill post a pic either tonight or tomorrow.

I had Silverstars with the DRLs on and all for about a year....Driver side burned out first. I got a new pair but I already dropped one bulb......so I am still running stock.
