      Soundproofing?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone sound proofed their Aveo?
Lots of road noise, doesn't bother me so much (Metallica can do wonders to drown it out ) I was just wondering what anyone has done? Insulated what and how?

      Thanks!

soundproofing imo would add to much weight(if done the PROPER way). also i think aveosummit has a thread about this........ click here to see it
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

i depends on what the sound proofing is far that determines if it is proper. to stop road noise you generally only need to do the lower 10 inches of the fire wall. and lowest center sections of the floor. for radio rattling it could be anything. i have seen cars lined head to toe with dynamat and then all the cavities stuff with insulation and they still had road noise. but the big stereo didnt vibrate them.

tire choice is also a big solution for getting rid of road noise.

do they have any sort of undercarriage spray like that rubberized uncoating that 3M makes that might help? i myself dont mind the roadnoise as i know the aveo is not my suburban, but i'm curious.

Second Skin has a product called sludge, it should do what you are looking to do.
