So has anyone seen any rusting on the Aveo yet? It's been about 5 years since the first Aveos rolled out (2004 model). I personally dont have any, but I was just wondering what the situation was from people around the country.

little bit of surface rust from where the paint was chipped from rocks during highway traveling, but nothing too major, I may have the small rust spots looked and and re-coated so it doesnt get any worse.
i got corrosion in the engine bay and random parts rusting but no body panels or anything.
Purchased my 05 new... no rust. nothing... then again I live in Vegas which is pretty good on cars... with the exception of paint, batteries (replaced a few weeks ago) and anything susceptible to melting as it can get to 150+ inside a car during the day.
all good in NY still. have an 04 sedan, no rust yet. 82000 miles
04 hatch, 1year in Pa, 5years in Va... has gone through plenty of winter storms and mud/gravel, etc...
Haven't seen a single bit of body rust... expected corrosion forming in the engine bay (on bolts, etc).
i have that same weird "white" calcified corrosion on the nuts and bolts. the most offensive corrosion was the one that kept me from opening the airbox where the filter was.
nothing yet on my 04
aha i found some everybody take off your spoilers and look at the holes in the hatch
update on my 04 sedan. 85000 miles, and the only actual rust i have is where the license plate lights are. the screws on the left light are fine, and the screws on the right light are rusted. go figure.
