Removing OEM spoiler on '04 HB

Anyone know if this center fastener on the first gen OEM hatchback spoiler is simply pop in/out or is there some other trick?

It has a couple small tabs on the backside, but is not budging even when squeezing the tabs. I'm trying to remove it for painting and it's the last thing holding it in place. The two nuts are off the end bolts and if the two foam strips ever had double sided adhesive, the body side has let go - so there's nothing else holding it. TIA.

Turned out to be a ball and socket connector. Not much clearance, so was concerned about dimpling the sheetmetal or breaking off the ball stud trying to pry it off. Pinching the bottom of the white plastic/nylon(?) socket (previous photo) with a pair of pliers put enough force on the ball to pry it out with a light touch.

When I removed the oem spoiler from the 04 I used to have, I used long handled, angled needle nose pliers, grabbed the plastic clip in the middle. I squeezed and twisted a little as I pulled up on the spoiler and after a minute or 2, the plastic clip gave and the spoiler came off
