This was the thread for the racing strip, viewtopic.php?f=22&t=9225

The Paint that I got for the paint job was from Dupli-Color, but it was not in a spray bomb we mixed it our selves.

Because it cost me $65.00 for the paint alone when I painted my car.

I think the black + pink would look nice too. I liked the idea of a offset stripe, but if you think it would look funny, thats all that matters. You have to like it.

      Re: racing stripe. . .

Hmm... I'm thinking about doing a pin stripe myself. And off center one... Driver's side (after reading rabbit's post about the rescue crews). It would be tricky though since my roof is painted black and the hood is partially exposed CF and partially painted to match the car... So i would have to do some alternating colors.

But it's too late, Autozone is not open at this time of night for whatever reason (just drove by on the way back from Walmart and checked), so I'll have to wait until the morning to get the stripes anyways...

I guess my main question is whether I should do the whole 6" stripe with two smaller stripes on the sides or leave only one (if so, whether it should be the inside towards the middle of the car or the outside of the wide one).

I'm leaning towards offset with the narrow stripe being towards the inside of the car...

      Any ideas appreciated.

Personally, I think your car looks clean the way it is. A racing stripe into it would just throw it off. I would leave it the way it is. Just my opinion though, you gotta do what you think looks good with your car.

hmm... any more opinions? I'm putting some other stickers (UltraRacing and others..) but it's all reversible in case I don't like it or hear too many negative comments about it. But it all comes down if I like it or not.

      Re: racing stripe. . .

If I were you, I wouldnt go with a racing stripe. I like the look of them in general, but I dont think it would look ok with the setup u have. With the hood and roof being a different color than the front, it might be hard to go a single color stripe. In my opinion, if you did do one, you'd need to change the color as the background color changed. I dont know if you were planning on doing that or not. If you are set on a stripe though, I would definitely do a centered strip with 2 smaller stripes on each side of the center one.
If you go with a side stripe, I'd say the smaller stripe towards the center of the car.

Keep in mind.... I'm just letting you know my opinion...... I'm not a professional, so what i think would look cool may look awful. I'm just letting you know what I think
