foglights & wiring

does anyone have any wiring info for oem 06 aveo foglights? im looking to get oem fogs and wire them up to a stalk w/ the foglight switch....

can anyone help?

what exactly do you need? Schematics? Part numbers? part locations? You got a sedan or hatch?

i wanted to do the same thing with aftermarket fog lights to the original switch, an option my car never had. If I spliced them into the factory wiring where they mounted then where would I find the other end of the wiring inside the car?

if the plugs are there for the factory lights, odds are the wires are there for when you buy the proper switch..


otherwise you need to wire in the fogs to power and ground, i would say put a relay in the there for the switch. then put the switched stalk in the column, and the two extra wires it has from your original would be the fogs. with one to power. run the other to one side of the relay, run on from the relay to ground.

i have to confess i've not actually looked yet although i've done this ona bravada before. But where is the OEM fog light switch even located?

I dont know where the factory switch is, but I think it would be cool if it was in one of those blanks next to the red hazard/emerg.flasher button. ('06 SVM)

the factory switch is on the headlight stock, its a twist cylinder toward the inside.. kind of like the delay wiper adjuster on the other side.
