Exterior door handle sticking

My drivers side door handle broke. I have replaced it with a new handle but now the handle gets stuck out when I open the door. I have to push it back in to go back in. I greased the hell out of it when I installed it but it is still getting stuck out. Anyone have any ideas or ever had this problem before?
