      Door moulding....anyone?

I dread the thought of the day when some ignorant jerk hits my car with his door.

I do whatever I can to avoid door dings, but sometimes it seems they come looking for my car, to park as close as possible!

So, to help me with my worries, I bought and installed the door mouldings available at GM Accessories.

Has anyone installed these? I haven't seen one photo of an Aveo with them installed on this site. I think they look good on my 2008 Aveo 5, and it seems to complement the black areas of the car.

What do you think of the door mouldings?

This picture is not mine, I have a sport red Aveo...

It might not look bad on black, but on any other color it ruins the clean look, IMO.

yeah I never dug the door moldings on the aveo... needs to be designed with them in mind. mk3 golf/jetta comes to mind (before they decide to fall off).
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.

Actually, I saw a few swifts around here with them and they look pretty good. I don't think they ruin the car's look, but they might not be for everyone though.

I hate them on all cars... ruin the body lines... first thing I rip-off when I get a car...

Well, I think the difference is where I live. I live in USA, California, and most of the people here are too stupid to open a car door carefully...if you ever visit California, look at the cars going by...even Corvette's and Porches have door dings. People really just suck sometimes...

I like the way they conform to body lines, and everyone I know personally has said it looks great with them on. I'm torn...

I think I like my car without door dings, but I'm not sure there's another way.

Also, thanks for the input fellas...I will get some photos up tomorrow!

don't park in the front of the parking lot... let the people in a rush park up there... Park back where not a whole of cars are...

If you take pride in your car, you won't put it in a situation to cause it damage...

      Re: Door moulding....anyone?

Like I said in my topic post, I avoid parking next to anyone, but there's
always somebody who'll park right next to me, regardless of how far back I park.

It's wierd...it's like a magnet for idiots! LOL!
