and what I mean by "Badge Rot" is when the Bowtie on our Decklids (or Tailgates in the case of the Hatches) starts to Delaminate from the Chrome Trim Surround because of Water intrusion. I've seen it on Impalas, and Silverados (our own 2009 Silverado had a Severe enough case of Badge Rot for it to be replaced under the 3/36 Warranty) Scootaloo has a minor case of Badge Rot, small enough to where you can't tell from far away. so does anyone else have a case of Badge Rot?

no, it was a problem from the Supplier, and from what I've been seeing, it Pretty much affects EVERYTHING Chevrolet made from 2005-2011.
I'll have to look in the box my badges are sitting in..
what you are basically describing, is Badge Rot. like I mentioned in Post 1, Scootaloo has a minor case that is well hidden, but our 2009 Silverado's case was severe enough for it to be replaced under Warranty (because the Tailgate Bowtie on your typical Silverado is 3 Inches Wider, and 1 and 1/4 inches Taller than your Typical Aveo decklid Bowtie.). but from what i've seen out on the roads, Chevy's aren't the only ones afflicted with Badge Rot: i've seen Fords where the Blue Paint on the front Oval has faded and flaked off, sometimes severe enough for ALL of the blue to be gone, and its nothing but chrome.Originally Posted by AveoJoe
