      using oil?

      I put the magnaflow muffler on my aveo and now lately it has been reading a half quart low. sometimes a little more almost a quart. has anyone else had this problem with oil after adding a muffler.

      They should have no effect on each other. Something else may have gotten screwed up at the same time you put it on

      top it off... if you continue to lose oil, you have a problem
      Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.

      Maybe the muffler bearing is going bad. Just /Joking

      Check oil pan and filter for leaks. Maybe theres a small leak around one of them.

      hope you find the problem

      good luck

      Adding water to oil does NOT clean your engine, It reshapes connecting rods.

      maybe something happened when you did this....
      "Instead of doing an egine swap i got a 1.6 block and bought pistons and a crank for the aveo and then connecting rods for a 1.6 Nissan motor along with cams and lifters and the picked up a head for an aveo at Autozone and built the motor with a few other essentials from Nissan and Chevy and the motor makes 115HP and 108ft. lBs of torgue. havent put it in the car yet but dynoed it on a engine dyno and it does idle a litlle high at 1500 but that is acceptable but i would put out more power if it had better injectors instead of the stockers."

      Oh wait you never did.

      must've been some steep gravel you were sitting on when you checked the oil...
