im looking into turbo-ing an aveo. very new to turbos and know little about what has to be done. does anybody have suggestions/opinions on what i should do. Dont want to spend my years salary, but also dont want ****ty parts. whats the best route to go? thanks in advance
Way to revive a 2 year old thread but...
Step 1: Sell the aveo
Step 2: Buy something that's factory turbocharged

Hey guys,
I know a lot of us our not very experienced with Turbo's but I found a page that goes in-depth about a lot of the parts required for boosting. So not sure where to stick this but a great reference since a lot of people ask.

Installing a turbo is a simple process pretty much on any car, tuning is a different story, the ignition system on these engines is unlike 95% of other cars on the road and very hard to work with.
Tuning a honda is child's play compared to the daewoo engines.

I completely agree with you Nemasys, I was just posting the article for good reference. It just goes into a lot of detail about why this part is needed or not and so on. Just a good article for first time wanna-be's like me who prefer to get all the info they can. I gave up on trying to find a turbo solution long ago for this puppy lol. Figured I would just go get a 3000GT or 300Z pretty cheap. I would love to have a fun with a car like this, but its just too much work to do anything when most of us don't have the time to invest. I could always maybe restore a 79 f-series pickup... thats on my list to do as well :P
