performance chip???
Is this for real?
CHEVROLET AVEO GF Peformance Chip
That would be awesome and well worth it, but would it really improve power and performance and mpg??? Sounds a little too good to be true... id really like some other peoples thoughts and recommendations.. I was also considering doing short ram air intake or putting a cold air intake setpu on my car to imrpove performance..but I'm not sure if the push would be worth the shove.

Anything that plugs into the IAC is garbage. Its just a resistor lying to the cars computer mad making it run either rich or lean depending on what direction these guys went. Heres a decent old write up on it: IAT Mod - Fact or Friction?
Any real performance chip for our car would have to either modify the ECU (engine computer) where there really isn't that much room for improvement, or better yet modify the TCU (transmission computer) where there is a hell of a lot of room for improvement. If anyone ever does so I'm sure it will be stickyed all over the forum, but it hasn't happened yet.

For your car, 2009+ ecotecs u can get a trifecta tune or a jet chip other than that the rest r sh**

Trifecta is a tuning company that sells u the info( fuel map, ignition advance...) n u download it into ur car via the O2 port. I have had the Jet stage 2 n have just ordered the trifecta tune for the end of the week. I will make a butt dyno comparison when the time comes. Opposite of trifecta is Jet where u physically place a microprocessor between the ecu and the harness. I will speculate they will be very close but we ll see.

I just re read ur 1st post, u definitely want the intake and a 2 or a 2 1/4" catback, after that a tune n headers, no one has successfully made a turbo or supercharger for our 2nd gen aveos-YET. Search the forum you ll get some good examples

How can something for twelve dollars be better than something that costs hundreds? And what's with the long sentence product name?
-
My stripes do more for engine performance than that thing would. confusing convoluted name alone raised first red flags..reviews sunk the ship

If you are new to tuning a "cat back" is when you replace the rear exhaust piping n muffler with higher flowing components from thethe catalytic converter back. There r no pre made catbacks made by performance shops so you would have to go to a local muffler shop and tell them what you want. Research the forum to see what others have gone with. Headers are another term for exhaust manifold. Im kinda curious as to this being ur first car, so stick to tha basics - catback, air intake, n upgrade the factory springs. This will help with our cars lack of power and body roll and make it fun to drive.
