Apparently mine was "lost" in their warehouse and they had to order a new one. 'It's going to be here' next week by Wed. they claim this time.
Hey...I complained enough and got 20% knocked off.
nice, you should tell them to give you extra go fast stickers as well. hahaha! still sucks tho that you have to wait.
yeah, they upgraded to overnight, they say Wed. the lastest.
The part should be to their warehouse Mon. and it should ship Tue, but he didn't want to promise.
thats not really "overnite" you know. i mean it is for them in a sense but you still have to wait 5 more days and they cant even promise that. id be furious.
Have you got it yet? Mine isn't here yet and I haven't gottan a shipping confirmation e-mail...I think I'm going to cancel the order or bitch untill they just give it to me.
yeah they take forever to ship it out, i ordered mine on friday...
I'm on the phone screaming at them right now, it still hasn't shipped.
i just phoned them right now to see whats going on....apperantly they say that they first have to get the part from AEM to cardomain's warehouse (which takes about a week) and from there it takes another day or so for them to ship it out and then there the 5 days it takes for the package to come......damn the guy told me that mine should be out here around the 30th, thats a ****ing long ass time, damn them!
jeepers, it may be faster and easier just to make your own. you know if that was for a honda or a acura that it would have been at your house before you evn ordered it.
I seriously wonder if we all shouldn't have just bought honda hatchbacks and called it done. There are no parts for Korean cars.
OK...so I bitched and complained and bitched and complained...I'm getting it tomorrow they promise, but only after they took off a little more $$ for me...
let us know if it happens
It finally got here yesterday and I installed it this morning (about 30-45 minutes).
Very simple...I could just copy the instructions and put it in the "how to" section, but they are so simple I don't think anyone will use it (just like my rear shock how to..LOL)
I'm going to fill the gas tank now and see how/if it improves/hurts mileage.
pics?
pics someday..LOL it's a grey tube, what pics do you need? LOL
I do notice it's LOUDER when you jump on it...and seems to have a little better pickup...now let's see how the mpg is affected
does it make any cool like whistling sounds or when its idle can you hear the intake at all? you know like a whooshing sound or anything or does it only make any noise when you floor it?
one piece or two? And does the sensor plug right in just like stock? what about fitment does it rub anywhere?
no wooshing sounds.LOL when you floor it...it breaths...
just like stock, one piece, no rubs, they did a nice job engineering it
ok we are still lacking pics tho. cmon man show us the goods :violent3:
it's a grey tube...LOL I'll take a pic today...and try to get the instructions on here too...
i thought you could choose what color tube you wanted
lol +1Quote:

absolutely getting one. i want pics first though.
OK, pics in my garage, they are too big to put here I guess...
Looks great... what's the pipe OD??
You should put some split hosing or something around the hole into the fenderwell to prevent any possible rubbing.
3" I think...yeah, gonna get some hose and split it...
Looks like the same ID/OD as the TB inlet... the way it should be ;)Quote:

well, my long wait is finally over, i finally got the intake and installed it, i have to say it looks pretty, but it actually silenced my car a bit. i dont get the loud roar from the engine like i did with my DIY CAI. i also seem to have lost some top end power but gained a little bit of low-end, i would actually rather have more top end power. overall i give this product a 7 mainly for its quality.

i also advise anyone that buys this intake to get the adapter for the throttle body from your local autoparts store to fit it around the intake to prevent it from being scratched by the hole.
wow! i like the black. very nice! altho id rather have more low end just cus you dont really race your aveo at top end too much. once you get to the finish line you are just startin to touch your top end range.
im only in low end once, lol, and taht is in first gear
yeh, and everyones got their preference too. man, i just might order one of these tho!
i suggest all of you order one, if AEM sees these intakes selling, maybe it will prompt them to make more after market parts for the aveo....think outside the box...
fuel rails, injectors, pulleys, ahh the possibilities...
