I was wondering whats a pretty decent price for a intake? I dont feel comfortable about the ones on ebay lol.

I found all of my intake tubing from mcmaster carr which is mcmaster.com. Go to raw materials -> metals -> stainless steel (or what u want your tube to be made of) ->tubes -> then select your preference of what you want for tubing size and length.

for the price, ebay is your best bet. i hate to say it. especially when you need to be shopping for bends and such.

otherwise, you could measure the size of the pipe you already used and hit up an exhaust shop for some stainless. it wont be polished/chrome but it will better metal than the ebay piece. expect $20-45 a foot for the pipe and then at least $10 a cut, bend and clean edge..

Enh...I was hoping that the plastic pipiing would be used in some other industry. I know I can use dryer piping, lol, but id rather be less ghetto for the time being.

What are you guys doing with your sensor? I have that black MAS just bolted inline with the piping, but it seems that might not be the best route for smooth air travel. anyone take it apart and mount it in the tubing a diffrent way?

A quick and simple way to get a cold air intake for cheap would be to hit up a local Muffler/Exhaust shop that can do mandrel bent piping. They should be able to easily bend a length of 3 inch pipe to exactly what you need. And probably won't charge more that 30-40 bucks installed. You would still have to provide the filter, and sensor adapters, but this would still be cheaper than the 200 dollar prices on ebay. It won't look as pretty as the others, but that's nothing a can of spray paint or a visit to the chrome shop can't fix. This will be the route I am going when I have the time to get it done.

I will think of a better signature later.
