    Thread: Header - Steves Auto Clinic South Africa

      OK Guys,

      Barney gave the ship to address as:

      3 Flaubert Street

      Vanderbijlpark 1911

      Gauteng

      South Africa

      Now I tried to estimate shipment by FedEx, and got between $500 - $600 !!!
      By DHL I got around $600 !!!

      Am I doing this wring? I huessed weight as being around 30lbs - but really that was just a guess. Could someone who ships stuff internationally double check the work please? I mean if it really is $500+ for shipping - I don't see this as workable.

      Thanks in advance for any help on this.

      - W

      When I was trying to ship a box thru Fedex from Kuwait, the box was about as big as a PS2 box and the cost was about 200 dollars. Im pretty sure a box for a header is going to be more expensive since it will be bigger. Not to mention my box weight was no more 10lbs. So it is very expensive to ship from that part of the world. Besides how much is the header itself?

      who doesnt want to pay $800+ for a header, you would have alot better luck finding some here to make one for around 300

      any good fabricator or exhaust shop, but more than likely they will over charge you, you really need to find a connection

      Guys -

      Here is the latest from Barney...

      ================================
      We have a shipping company that does our shipping for us. They are fast and there prices is not that expensive. Please send me the dimensions of the box that you will be shipping and the weight of the box. I will then be able to get you a price. Just one thing though they only ship it to the closest air port of the recipient. I can arrange it for you if you want but like I said I need the dimensions.

      Regards

      Barney
      ====================================

      So if someone can measure, and weigh a stock header, I can pass it on to Barney, and hopefully get a better shipping rate. If some one can post this, or email it to me, I will pass on to Barney.

      I thought we were going to get a 4-2-1 header...
      I think the new header will be longer than the stock header.
