      Frequent axle seal failure?

I was just curious if any of you have experienced a frequent failure of your axle seals. I've got a 2011 Aveo with a manual transmission that I purchased new 2 years ago. I had the driver's side axle seal done at around 20,000km and I think both were done a little over a month ago at about 45,000km (driver's side was for sure). While scraping snow from my driveway today I caught the faint smell of gear lube and noticed a small puddle. Sure enough the driver's side appears to be leaking again. No issues with the axle were readily apparent the last time they had it off to replace the seal. It's still got a long way to go on warranty, but to take the same seal out 3 times in less than 2 years I'm thinking there is either an issue with the axle or the seals themselves are problematic (in which case I'm sure somebody here would have experienced issues as well).

I suspect problematic seals. My '08 Wave has burned through two complete sets of seals (left and right) in 6 years/166,000 km.

Could be seal on them, But if your a little had on the RPM, or you broke loose on ice and RPM are up high, then gets traction this will smash axles out ward to the spindles the seal will start to leak in the long run. Or person messed up the seal a little when in stalled. (sooner seal failure)
