I have the 40 Series on my Aveo. Anything bigger (60-80) wont fit under that car and will sound horrible.

At the flowmaster website, there is a nice graph detailing the sound of mufflers.

http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/mufflers.html The 40 series is really loud, 60 a little less.

Also, according to the website, you'd be better with either 2" or 2.25" tubing.

The only difference in sizing is the 60 series is an inch thicker. The length is the same and the width is 1/4" wider.

40: 4 X 9.75 X 13 - 19 (Thickness X Width X Length - Overall Length
60: 5 X 10 X 13 - 19

Please note I am talking about the Delta Flow line of mufflers.

Yeah, Thats the reason I didn't get the 60 because of that inch and where I wanted the muffler placed. The measurements doesn't sound like it gives it too much of a difference, but if you placed both mufflers side-by-side, the difference is really noticable, as well as when you attempted to place the muffler under the car. I'm running what the Flowmaster 40 has going into it... which is a 2.5" pipe. But I only did that because I wanted it to look flush, and didn't want to waste time with the size differential.

Lazy, yep.

Yeah I took a quick look under the Wave today and noticed that an inch more here and there can get crammed up pretty fast.

You know... I just replaced my flowmaster Muffler yesterday. Now that I think about it... the Flowmaster was just WAY too loud. But it sounded nice in a race.

LMFAO. I never won, mind you. But everyone could hear my car over the other guys glass-packs. It had such a distinct sound. Intimidating, but no bite to back up the bark.

I was racing a Mini S last night. We could never go from a stand still though because traffic/lights did not fall in our favor, but we did get to take corners and do some lane changes. It was fun. He probably would have won overall though
