      Engine Upgrades?

What do you recommend as far as strengthening the motor towards going turbo?

This is what I figure I can start out with....add to it if you can. I want to get the most out of my motor before going forced induction.

      -2" custom piping exhaust
      -carbon fiber hood
      -header
      -magnaflow exhaust
      -ngk spark plugs
      -spark plug wires
      -engine reground
-port polished intake manifold/head (if possible)
      -upgraded pistons
      -short ram

I read somewhere on the forum the 2" exhaust is better for our engine setups.

But you're going turbo, so that's going to add more gases and thus you will need larger exhaust. Also you'll have to look into investing in a EMS (cheapest DYI is megasquirt) and larger injectors

the thing is, that I want to see what I can do NA with this motor because I might go the swap route in the future.

2" will be fine for "reasonable" boost
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.

Well again, if you either upgrade your motor, or swap in a bigger motor, you'll still need bigger exhaust because you will have more gas to flow (but that's all depending on how much more gas you'll be flowing to determine if it's worth it)

For sure..because if/when i do the motor swap its going turbo and will need a bigger exhaust.

      You mean more air flow!
