      Engine swap

OK. I'm going to put a new engine in my wifes 04 aveo. I found the engine for 1900 remaned 3 yr warranty.
I just looked at an 06 aveo engine for 1100. I read a post that an 06 will work. What can I put in that will be a straight swap.

some of the systems are slightly different, but if you get a used engine everything will be there to use.

      save yourself more money:

      06 07 08 AVEO ENGINE 1.6L VIN 6 8TH DIGIT OPT L91 | eBay

regardless of which engine you buy the install is the same amount of money, and you will want to do the timing belt before putting it in.

Turn around and run away.....those prices are 2-3 times what you should be paying.

They are rebuilt engines. 3 year warranty. I found one in my area with 150k on it and they want 1100

You should be able to find decent engines for 600-700 (like the one rabbit posted), but if the 3 year warranty is not a joke, if they install it and wax your car, 1900 may not be too bad.
