      EEEEK!

I want to try to figure out how much its gonna cost me to make my aveo a 12 or 13 second car.
im guessing around 250 to the wheels???

I am obviously going to swap engines.

But here are the questions i have...

Should i boost or build all engine?
and what engine will work best.

I also do not know what all else will need to be upgraded.

      Tranny...axels???

Im looking around the 10k or so price range when all said and done so if that influences what you think is best.

      So pleasssssse help me. lol
i wanna start to do some serious work on this since winter is coming up and i wont be driving as much and ill have some extra time to work on my car.

      Thanks Guys.

Before you put ANY $ down, you better get his game plan, including a list of what he is going to do, if he wont write it down then you do, and DO NOT LET HIM DO ANYTHING to your car until you figure that out.

After you get a list of things to do, do your research about what everything does, what kind of improvement it does and how much it might cost. But hey that's just what I would do.

All about being a good consumer...

oh i know that....i wanna know what parts he would be getting to see if i can find a deal on him....i will also more than likely write up some sort of contract to do this through just in case the work never gets finished....so i dont get ripped off.
He gave me a general idea of what he would do....and it makes sense.....he would just build a 1.6L with forged internals and boost....so we will see.

Probably looking around 250WHP to get where i want to be...which is mid or high 12's

tranny, axels, frame, clutch, PP, body - the aveo holds in too much heat for a high boost application you need big openings in the bumper or a hood scoop atleast i think that guys jerking you around with a car as slow out of the box as ours your looking probably 6000 - 7000 a second if it is even possible to get that much HP out of that engine theres no chance its goona be reliable and probably not street legal dont get me wrong i love the idea but for that price im skeptical

You have done no research then.....there are forged internals you can buy from erupoe and the tranny and all that is the hardest part to do.....its very possible to get 250whp out of this engine....there are a lot of boosted 1.5L honda engines running close to the same HP some even have more.

For $11K I could build you a 600 horse Ecotec swapped into your Aveo with LSD and drag radials. Custom fabricated turbo system, chassis prep, roll cage, etc.

You better be in the 10's
