      clutch fork

ok i have a 04 aveo 5 speed I replaced the slave and still the pedeal goes half way and stops. I know now to not push it to the floor, but i read that the fork can be bent but i have soaked it and got it move but i have to tap it with a hammer to get it to move but it wont move by hand. I dont want to pull the tranny yet but i will if no real answer to night any other suggestions that dont include pulling the tranny will be great.
      Thanks

what do you mean by half way and stops? did you properly bleed the system? they are not as easy as bleeding brakes.

Yeah I bled it right they not hard to do. I read another thread that had a guy having same issue as me and said his fork was bent. I do need to know how are you supposed to take the shifter linkage off?

the linkage unhooks. there is a square joint right near where it going into the top of the transmission. the pin holding the joint together has a clip and the pulls apart. then the pin on the rear transmission mount pulls up and releases the rest of the linkage.

I cannot say if it is common or not.

Fill is the hole on the passenger side of the rear diff, just by where the axle comes out. I haven't seen a way to fill it from above that is absolute.
