Car Squeaking ?!?!?!?!?!?! Help Please :)

Hey, just wondering if any of you have had this same problem as me!

In the mornings/ or when my car has been sitting for a while, the first few mintues I hear a squeaking noise coming from somewhere under the hood. It pretty much sounds like there is a mouse living in my engine bay! LOL

I am not sure what it is, and have yet to take it somewhere to get it looked at as work is really busy right now. I was just wanting to post a quick thread to see if anyone can help me out on this little problem.

      Thanks.

It might just be moisture collecting on the pulleys making the serp belt squeak? Is it a high pitch squeal type of squeaking (i think it is from the mouse reference) This is most likely cause because the car doesnt have splash shields underneath, frost and dew can collect inthe engine compartment just like on your grass.. I am assuming the noise goes away after a few minutes..

It could be something else too though, how many miles ?

Its not high pitched, its just kind of like a squeak....squeak....squeak sound repeated like that for a few mintues then it goes away and I do not hear it for the rest of the day, its just when I start it up again after 8 or more hours it does this.

There is 70,000km on the engine.

i agree i think it is pulley squeal. pop the hood and look at the belt on the passenger side, is it all cracked ?

with your km, depending on age, it could also be your timing pulleys. be wary of that you approaching the replacement before breakage range.

I would buy a can of belt conditioner and spray the pulleys while its running, try doing it one morning when you hear the squeak. start it, if it is squeaking, pop the hood and spray the pulleys. if it goes away immediately, that is your problem.
