Auto tranny 3rd gear ?

This is a question for 2nd gen owners. When my car shifts from 2nd to 3rd it stays in 3rd for like a second then shifts to fourth. Is it supposed to do that or do I need to have this looked at. Any ideas or comments are appreciated. And sorry in advance if this was a noob question but I really don't know the answer to this

At what point (at what MPH) does it shift into 4th? While you are at it, counting shift points, also tell us what the shift points are for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Never mind I'm an idiot. It was even third I was feeling it was fourth and I'm pretty sure it's the torque converter locking. Feel like an idiot. Waste of thread space
