whats the best automatic trans fluid

I have a 2009 chevy aveo and looking for the best auto trans fluid for it. Any suggestions would help thank you.

best is a matter of opinion. Anything valvoline, or castrol, something synthetic would work fine.

T-IV fluid... GM only recommends flush/fill if you meet their definition of "severe use". Generally it should never need replacement unless you live in the tundra, or if the car is a taxi.

Anecdotally, most folks seem to say you're just stirring up crap in the transmission unless it's been flushed regularly from the start. I have nothing to back up those statements, though.

Any brand will do as long as it meets manufacturer's specification.
