It does sound like a good idea. It just never crossed my mind and seems like it'd be painfully easy to accomplish. I'll get under my car monday at work and have a look

I already purchased a header and now regret it. should have done the Turbo manifold. Don't want to go through the expense of buying the manifold and losing money on my header. The point....

I would love to look at supercharging or some sort of inexpensive option of the turbo kit.

you can sell the header for what you paid for it lol, but no one will ever make a turbo kit, a supercharger would cost a silly amount as well, well and no one would make one anyways lol

I was wondering if there is anything else people are working on for our cars? I know its late to ask lol but worth putting another group buy if people are willing. The first one was a pretty good success.

Unfortunately there isn't a lot of consensus on what to look into. There are a bunch of people who all want different things for the most part. Its hard to put a group buy together for just a few as the prices are so high to make small quantities.

I have the impression that most people just don't realize how much work it is to add a turbo/supercharger to a non-turbo car... You are looking at more then a 1500$ just for the material IF there's already a computer reprog available for this setup and you are not counting man-hours to put the setup in...

Hi - I am new to this forum and the underdrive pulley is considerable mass savings, I always think about reducing sprung and unsprung wieght like lighter rims and even a lighter spare tire rim - together the weight savings could be significant. What other parts are unneccessarily heavy like the pulley? Just a thought.

you can shave weight in a lot of places, but the pulley is easiest.

you can lighten the flywheel, the crank, the other pulleys can be changed in weight and size, or eliminated. cross drilled rotors will save an ounce or two..

Yup. I am duplicating a Turbo upgrade found on a Jeep forum for my Cherokee. The whole set-up before fab work and installation is gonna range about $4000, It is a lot, but SO COOL. A
