From what I have read, the Aveo has a very good crash rating 4 star or 5 star if I remember correctly. Depending on the speed of the rear end accident, I can't guarantee your speakers would still be worth a damn, but I doubt they, or your back seat would end up in your lap, or replacing your upper torso.
