      GM raise MSRP

Noticed GM has raised the MSRP $500 this week for the Aveo. They can keep the free Onstar (which they can't seem to activate on my 2009 after 2 weeks) and cut the price.

      Re: GM raise MSRP

As soon as the Aveo starts to be noticed by Americans, GM will screw up and raise prices. It's a great deal for the price now, but any higher and I would have looked at Honda or Toyota.

I wouldn't buy another Aveo thinking I would save money on gas mileage that's for certain.

i patiently say threw the whole dealers demonstration about how great onstar is.. and at they end i asked him to sum it up he told me this:

      1. if you lock the keys in your car they can unlock the doors.
      2. if your airbags go off they will be alerted.
      3. you can upgrade (pay) for all the other features you might use.

it told him i didn't have power locks so when i call what will they do? he didn't know. so i told him when i was bored on night i would call and see how many times i could have them "try" to unlock my doors before they figure it out. i also said if i hit something hard enough for the airbags to go off, it will probably also tear the onstar console off the roof and i wouldn't get help. but honestly that is the only feature that is of value to me, too bad i have to pay to keep that part of it. and i asked if the carried dome lights without the buttons so when the year was up i could take the onstar out. (i hate having buttons that don't/won't work permanently installed on a car). They dont carry the option.
