2/08/08 An update on the Carbon Fiber engine cover for the 1.6 in the Daewoo Lanos and Chevy Aveo.

The cover has been de-badged and has gone back and forth with primer surfacer and sanding several times to get a glass like finish before it goes into the mold proccess. The final product should be ready very soon.
Updates? I want one if you have alum inserts for the bolt holes.

      Re: Carbon Fiber engine cover

$150 - $175, a little on the high end of the pricing scale, but I would buy one. I mean, if it looks good, it would be a great addition piece.

I am actually looking at painting my engine cover to match the exterior of my car. Chatting with someone on Cardomain, it seems pretty easy, and I found a color of Plastic Adhesive paint that matches closely the color of my car. We will just have to see how it comes out..
4 wheels, 4 doors, 4 cylinders, 8 speakers, and 1 loose nut on the steering wheel driving the car!

You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

my bad, thought this was whiteravens thread, had to go back and look. that thread is over a year old. this one is fresh.

anywho, if this one goes thru tho, that will be very nice. it would be nice to see one off pieces like this in a few different aveos. altho, i guess it wouldnt really be a one off piece if a few aveos have em but u know what i mean.
