Check out the wrecked 2008 sedan I very recently posted under "For Sale/Wanted section while the link is still active. Study the extent of left-front and frontal damage. Should an airbag have deployed? The cockpit shows no sign of deployment and I think, in this case, it should have deployed given the extent of the impact damage. The Aveo even shows signs of sliding on its' side before slamming back down. What do you think?

No, I don't think it woul've popped the airbag. The hit was obviously too low to contact the structure of the car. Probably a really cheap fix, actually.

Yes, I see now what you mean...the suspension took the brunt of the impact, but did not offer enough resistance to trigger airbag sensor. With that in mind, the Aveo might have been traveling upwards during impact. I appreciate your input.
