2009 Pontiac G3 - when to change timing belt

      Hey guys!
I have a 2009 Pontiac G3 that we've had since new. It's a 1.6L Ecotec engine, and it has automatic transmission.

I can not figure out when GM specifies for the timing belt to be replaced.
Don't see anything in the owners manual about it, and calling dealership didn't give me any reasonable answer either (they said anytime between 60K and 100K, which sounds like it was the guy's personal guess).

P.S. I know you guys like pictures, so here are couple from last summer:

Page 6-7 in your manual, it's 100,000 miles (160,000 km)

Nice looking car you have there!

      Hi SamRus,

Those are some great pictures of your Pontiac! I understand that you have some questions regarding your timing belt. I cannot guarantee anything, but please feel free to send us a private message with your VIN so that I can look further into this. We look forward to your reply!

Thanks Kristen and Randy! You guys are great!
100K miles for timing belt is the interval. I was confused because of reading all the comments about earlier Aveos having to change their belts earlier.

That's a bit of an issue for first gen owners like me! The ecotech is a bit better with regards to the timing belt, whereas the e-tech II would absolutely need to be changed at the proper interval.

Hope that clears up the confusion! ^^
