      Forum updates/changes and your feedback

Over the past few days we have made a few changes to the forum.

We have added a Troubleshooting and Maintenance subforum. I think its great to consolidate all problems into one area instead of having them spread all over the forum. We'll be picking through the other forums and moving posts accordingly. We can sticky common problems and fixes and newbs can find info quickly that way without asking the same question over and over.

The Fuel and Ignition subforum has been removed. All the threads that were in it have been moved to the Engine subforum. We didn't see any reason to keep these apart as they're so closely related. Plus, the Fuel and Ignition subforum didn't have many posts in it anyway.

I'm also thinking about combining the Wheels and Tires, Brakes, and Suspension subforums together as those are pretty closely related as well. Perhaps also combining the Drivetrain subforum with the Engine subforum too.

In any case, Darin and I are still mulling things over and looking into making other changes around here. We think we have some really cool stuff planned, and hopefully you guys will love them. However, since we aren't the only ones here, we would like your feedback and hear what you guys would like to see. So far the feedback seems to be mostly positive, but if you have ideas we're happy to listen.

The subforums have now been combined into similar categories.

Wheels, Tires, Brakes, and Suspension are all now one subforum.
Engine and Drivetrain are now one subforum.
Audio, video and interior are now one subforum.

Let us know what you guys think.

I really like the new subgroups. It helps to consolidate the forums.

One thing I have noticed. When I go to the sub-forum with a sub-forum under it like "General" and "Technical", it displays all the posts in all the sub-forums. I would expect it to display the sub-forums and then any specific posts for that sub-forum. Anyway you can fix this?

Hope I was clear. If not just ask.

my advice would be to leave the forum as it is now, as far as compressing sub forums. Reason being that you don't want a subforum to end up being to cluttered and having a thread get overlooked on accident, like someone has a legit suspension questio but it gets overrun by a few threads of people posting "what size rims should I get or rim style?" that's just a crude example and my opinion.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

Would it be a good idea to add a category for "helpful hints"?

For example, I just found a good deal on oil filters, but I don't know where I should post it.
