Transmission problems

I have a 2009 chevy aveo5. Yesterday I was on my way home when suddenly the transmission seemed to stop working. I turned the car off and back on and it started working again only to stop less than a mile later. I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem

If by "not working" you mean it was slipping, then I'd check your fluid level first.
