      Thermostat

Shouldn't there be 2 gaskets for the thermostat since it is a two piece construction housing ? Ordered a new thermostat and gasket to change out and noticed I could use another gasket. Mine does have the aluminum 2 piece housing. They gave me a round O-ring gasket in which I used for the thermostat and re-used the rubber round with a rectangular cross section for the one against the head. Now I have a small leak. Looks like the person before me used alot of gasket sealant. I imagine these were known for this...
