Nice video! Ive went this whole time thinking that my catalytic converter was that wire mesh woven thing right under my oil pan... what is the wire mesh/honeycombed thing? do you know if i would be able to replace my catalytic converter with a universal one? thank you so much for your video! i might have to refer to it later if my plugs get oil on them!

There are plenty of aftermarket catalytic converters that will work with your Aveo. The honeycombed pipe you refer to is called the flex pipe.

Thank you! Is there a certain type of catalytic converter that i should be searching for or will all of them do the same thing? or can i just replace it with a pipe?

I see California has a different standard for catalytics so govern yourself accordingly.....you can take a look here: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sh...hevy/aveo.html and get an idea the different types of catalytics offered. Plenty of auto shop places will have them so you can find your own deal. BTW for emission purposes catalytics is law to have so you cannot replace it with just a straight pipe.
