      p2076 and multiple misfire codes

hey guys (and gals) I have a 2007 aveo with 72000 miles i recently got a check engine light and the car started running rough. The engine light was off the next time i started the car so i drove it it started running rough (felt like it was missing) around 55 mph. today the check engine light came on and started flashing so i went straight home and shut it off. when i plugged in my scanner i got p2076 p0300-p0304 and p0314. i know most of those are misfire codes and the p2076 is intake manifold tuning valve. when i poped the hood i noticed my air intake hose from breather to engine is torn almost completely in two. would the torn hose cause all the engine codes and the rough running engine?

Yes, if it runs at all you will see a long slew of codes with vacuum leaks like that. You may now have other issues from running it so long with tears and holes that will require cleaning the intake and possible fetching chunks of the boot out of the intake plenum.

Yes it does run and it looks like a clean tear i dont see chunks of rubber missing. I wrapped the hose with duct tape to see if it improved and it did. I cleared the codes and went for a test drive it ran great and no engine light. Now I just need to order a replacement air intake hose. Thanks for the info.

Rock Auto has a good replacement hose. I just replaced mine using theirs.
