      2004-2006 is first generation for the Sedan, 2004-2008 for the Hatch, 2007-2011 for the Second Generation Sedan, 2009-2011 for the Second Generation Hatch. 2012 is where the Aveo ends, and the Sonic Begins in the US Market.
