2009 Aveo LTS with 94000 miles

Help..My car doesn't seem to want to shift to overdrive when i go uphill and it sometimes has a surge when i push on the gas..at 40000 miles i did have the coilpack changed..could it be that again or transmission???

sounds like the transmission. The transmission, will pick the right gear for the load. Maybe don't push on the gas and check your fluid levels.
