In Washington, with an 05 hatchback

Bought new in April of 2005:

05 LS Hatchback (later named the Aveo5) with Auto, CD/MP3 player and spoiler.

I replaced the tires last fall with decent Michelins from Costco when they had a tire sale.

Dark tinted the Windows to 25% I think, which is darker than legal in WA state.

Currently has just under 55k miles on it.

I also installed the hood protector. I've never seen another Aveo with one. This is a dealer accessory, I installed it.

Welcome to the forum! Yet another WA driver... nice to know that there are more people out there... I see many Aveos out there, but mostly driven by nobody that looks like they would be on this forum. Any mods done to the car under the hood? Is it your DD/commuter? And where in WA are you located?

      Welcome to the site.

Any other plans for the Aveo?

I've been on the forum since shortly after I bought ithe Aveo, but back then the forum was hosted on a totally different system (proboards I think) and all the earlier posts went away when the forum finally got it's own domain name.

I've done the "city lights" mod to the headlights, and also installed the Rostra Cruise control - which works AWESOME on two road trips I have taken it on to New Mexico and back, the most recent was last month..... 1500+ miles in two days each way IS a long time behind the wheel of the Aveo though.

I have so many other toys that I mod, that the Aveo has taken a back seat everything else even though I've had it 5 years.

Cool. Well, welcome to the new site anyways. The proboards site is still there for access I believe, but it's pretty much dead.

      Where you located?
Half dozen Aveos down in my area with some sort of custom work.

      Rostra Cruise Control?
I will have to look that up.

      In any case, welcome back.
